En route to New Orleans from Atlanta - Teen Perspectives

I am truly blessed to have this opportunity to embark on this adventure and partake and experience the New Orleans culture. I can’t wait!!

I am so excited to be a part of a trip like New Orleans. I’m 17 year of age, see a lot of people my age never been outside there culture but I am bless to be here and to see what the people in New Orleans went through during the hurricane. Love you and hope you experience this trip one day…. Time to have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been to New Orleans  before, but I was very young, about 8 years old, and was not given the opportunity to learn as I will on this trip.  I am very excited to learn more about New Orleans, Katrina, and its culture, and to share this experience with fellow leaders. Thank you Dr. Weaver and the rest of the Arthur Langford, Jr. Teen Leadership Institute for putting together this amazing experience!!!

I have never really been to New Orleans, only passed through to go to my grandpa’s house. I intend on learning about the many cultures and history of New Orleans and experience as much a s I can , so  I can share it with others for when I get back home. I am so glad to be a part of this event and the Arthur Langford program. So, in a nutshell I hope to have a great time in this historical place full of information called New Orleans.
